About the Collection

The collection is inspired by the plot of the comic strip "VitaminKa landed. It’s F#&%d Up" — a 96-page, black-and-white, rhymed story of a tainted alien supercat, the first part of the Vitamin_Ka tetralogy. The English version of the comic strip will be released in 2022.

Mission

After countless journeys across space, Vitaminka came down on earth. He was traveling from the bloodthirsty outer space, the most brutal honky-tonks in the universe, million light years away.

Recruited by the SuperCat civilization for a very special mission, he teleported to Planet Earth from his combat spacecraft to defeat an infamous animal abuser.

While meeting human beings on his journey across earth, he plunged into their lifestyle and quickly realised how ruthless most humans were towards animals. That’s when he became even more resolute about his mission: he would not have stopped until the very last empty cage on earth was empty. The vegan revolution had just started!

About the Beneficiaries

25% of the proceeds will be donated to the following NGOs fighting for animal rights. Another 25% will be donated to a Vegan Community Fund created to support the most relevant and urgent projects of the movement. One example is Lviv Vegan Kitchen, a community that cooks plant-based meals for both civilians and territorial defense forces during warfare in Ukraine.

About the author

Ole Guacamole (aka *OG*)

Based in Tbilisi (Georgia) and vegan since 2007, *OG* has been involved in animal rights projects since 2009. Besides co-founding several animal rights groups and NGOs, he’s been coordinating over the years multiple action campaigns and events. He’s one of the organizers of the Eurasian Animal Rights Gatherings, a conference held in Georgia, Russia, Spain, Israel, Belarus, Switzerland and Armenia. *OG* is also the co-founder of Kiwi Vegan Cafe, the first plant-based restaurant in Georgia.

*OG* started sketching VitaminKa during his erratic wandering across Europe of the past few years. From squatting in Barcelona, to dumpster diving in Lausanne, from semi-legal deliveries of plant-based cheese in Tel Aviv to shielding from rubber bullets and stun grenades during the Minsk riots — VitaminKa has always been a great journey companion to the adventurous author.

The Background

About 70 billion land animals are killed every year. Most of these deaths are caused by factory farming (or CAFO). The fur industry is, in particular, one the deadliest contributors to this massacre. Some of the most celebrated authors of our time such as Yuval Noe Harari and Steven Pinker rightfully refer to animal farming as the worst crime in human history.

What’s more is that 99% of the funds raised by animal charities worldwide is invested in issues related to mostly cats and dogs, while they happen to make up just 0.1% of all domesticated animals.

When it comes to aquatic animals, the losses are so significant that they are counted by the tons. Though social consciousness is gradually evolving, it is our moral obligation to accelerate to the halt of this unjustified, despicable depletion of marine life.

Though animal rights groups are doing an incredible job at raising awareness about and proposing alternatives to our unsustainable lifestyle, they are in constant need of financial support. Help us in supporting their activities by contributing to our project!
